With growing trend of BYOD, Dell has updated its Wyse PocketCloud app portfolio with new features which claimed to help users access their professional and personal content through mobile devices or remote computers.
Users can search, view, organise and share files from multiple devices through a centralised application installed on devices running on Android, iOS, or Windows RT OS as well as from different browser, the company said.
The company has released PocketCloud Explore for iPad and Windows RT which said to allow users to access personal and professional content remotely.
Dell has also released its PocketCloud Web app and service will offer the features of PocketCloud Explore apps to different Web browser.
The new application will allow users to access their content including office files, photos, videos and music in the personal and professional computers and stored in their own personal cloud.
PocketCloud Web app also claimed to allow users upload and download files between their devices and remote computers, share content by streaming audio and video files from their remote computers.
The new app also allows users to open remote files through a viewer or download and edit within a compatible application installed in their devices.
Dell has also introduced PocketCloud Companion which acts as client broker for Windows and Mac operating systems providing access to content and applications stored on remote computers.
Dell Cloud client computing vice president and general manager Tarkan Maner said users require access to their digital assets at their fingertips wherever they might be.
"With the larger and more user-friendly interface available on tablet devices, users can do it all, from sharing personal memories to editing professional documents," Maner said.
"Dell Wyse PocketCloud solutions make cloud computing less 'pie in the sky', and more 'palm of your hand', as users are able to not only access all their assets from their mobile devices, but also change, upload and delete them at will."
